FNB Fusion

Whahaha!! You a week ahead of me then ;)

Do you mind checking the following for me:
Log into your banking then go to My Bank Accounts -> My Cards.
Next to your Fusion card - is there a box/option that says "Limits"?

On mine, there is not. Have had the Fusion account ~3 weeks and the card ~2 weeks now, so I don't know if that's something that needs to be activated? Doesn't sound like it though.

Quick q - currently, on a cheque account you can set a swipe limit as well as a withdraw limit on your card. This is currently not an option on a credit card though.
With a Fusion account, can you set a swipe and withdraw limit on your card?
Yes and yes.

Can also set daily as well as monthly limits.

Another question actually... ;)
Is it possible to add an additional card (reflecting my wife's name) to a Fusion account?
If so, would this be still be free of charge as with my PC credit card account?

Yes and it’s free.

Gosh, some ppl say you can set a limit, some say you can't. That is probably the only possible deal breaker for me... I really need to be able to set swipe/withdraw limits on the card...

You can. Or just mail your banker.

There’s an easy solution to that...call the bank.

But I specially went and checked in the App before responding.

I did ask my banker who then asked someone - they also said you can... I was then just hoping they were right...
Glad you checked for me - really appreciate it!! :D

Hey guys! Happy New Year!!

So I’m looking at getting this fusion account now.
What are your thoughts after using it for sometime?

Many thanks

I really do like it! Only have to worry about 1 card now (for eBucks purposes) and really like the fact that I can set daily transaction limits on my card :)

Best move I ever made, we’ll right behind switching to FNB that.

Just simplified my life so much.

That being said I’ve always used my CC as a debit card and only rarely through means of cash flow would use the credit facility and then always interest free.

Not sure it would work for someone with a credit balance for months on end.

I still have the issue with being charged a transaction fee when using Cash@Till but otherwise I am very happy with the product.

Use the WeChat Wallet to draw money. Counts as an online purchase so you earn ebucks and only costs a flat fee of R5 for a withdrawl and you can do it from any Standard Bank ATM.

I currently have two accounts, Credit and Cheque.

Never use my Cheque besides Cash@Till. Would Fusion suit me ?

One thing I would like to know is that I get ebucks for using 100% credit facilit. I set 5k limi, use 5k credit and trasnfer from cheque to credit.

How would this work on Fusion since I'll technically never be using credit ?(For ebucks purposes)

Thanks for your reply... I will contact my banker today and have a chat with them!

Hahah amazing!! Thank you. Will look at upgrading now

Thanks DawieZA. Goodluck with getting this fixed ASAP.
I use cashless withdrawal through the FNB. But rarely every need to have cabs on me. I always prefer swiping

It’s automatically 100% because there is only one card.

It’s not about using credit, it’s about using the credit card. You can have it in a completely in the positive and still get that 100%.

Basically you’ve been doing it wrong all along.
