Most of the lower level bankers might as well be bank tellers - it was one of my main reasons for leaving. Banker couldn't even tell me how to close the account, then claimed when it was ****ed up that I didn't understand what "closed" means in "banking" terms.

I'm quite happy with the level I get from FNB PC (Now FNB PW).. only issue I had was my bankers previous assistant wasn't awesome, but the new one IS. So I'm a happy camper!

Ok so the fees on the bundled option on PC and PW are R345 and R349 respectively.

On Private Wealth, I get the following (for free) that Private Clients don't get:
LOTTO / PowerBall Purchases
Cardless Cash Withdrawal
Pay & Clear Now
Send Money to eWallet
Other Banks’ ATM Withdrawal
Additional Online Statements (Daily, Weekly, Twice Monthly)
My Limit Alert Subscription
Scheduled Payment Alert Subscription
Balance Alert Subscription (Daily/Monthly/Weekly)
Payment Notifications (Email, SMS & Fax)
Card & Device Courier Fee - ok, Card courier is free on PC
Online Banking Password Reset (Telephone - Consultant Assisted)
Online Banking Account Verification (FNB Accounts and Other Banks’ Accounts)
Viewing of Payment History (older than 3 months)
Card Replacement

You can also earn ebucks back on smart devices up to 100%.

To me there's absolutely no value on the new Private Clients offering.

For travellers, the SLOW lounge and Priority Pass are a benefit.
Plus no caps on eBucks earning.

The main reason I prefer the PC(old Graphite) over PW: On PW I would be on about level 3 for ebucks, whereas it is relatively easy to get to level 5 on PC, I got 21000 points last month needing only 18500.

The main reason I prefer PC over Plat or Gold: Fuel cap on Plat or Gold is R625 p/m, and uncapped on PC, so I score minimum R250 p/m on that, after you subtract the more expensive account fees. This will obviouls only benefit people that spends more than approx R4500 p/m on fuel.

Most important thing to me is the Pay and Clear Now. I hate waiting for things :-)

Can someone point me in the direction of a site where I can compare the different accounts and the benefits. I'm on a Plat cheque account and a PC credit card so I need to change either one or the other up or down and I'm a bit lost with the whole thing.

One thing that really matters is as much airline lounge access as possible. Any pointers greatly accepted :)

There's no easy comparison site.
Gotta do the legwork :D

not uncapped on PC, from -> https://www.ebucks.com/web/eBucks/earn/fnb-private-clients.jsp
Fuel and Gautrain ticket limits and rules
Your maximum qualifying fuel and Guatrain(sic) ticket spend is capped at 20% of your qualifying Private Clients Card spend for the month, with the maximum amount you can earn on fuel and Gautrain tickets is capped at eB7 000 per month.

I was upgraded to FNB Private before they split it in two and due to the high fees and ridiculous spending requirements for the rewards I dropped back down to Platinum.

How does this new PC account compare to Plat? I'm on Fee Saver (no fees if min balance of R9k) still so if I upgrade I'll lose that, which means I wont be upgrading.. but am interested to know if it's any better?

You get a half percent to a full percent more on swipes on the new PC. Other than that the benefits for airport travellers are what you are paying extra for. More SLOW lounge visits and lounge visits abroad. Avis point to point are a plus.

I'm also on Fee Saver so I am resisting the move to PC, as I'd go from +/- R70 month in fees to R350?

How did you manage to stay on Fee Saver if you made the move to the old PC and then downgraded back?

When i switched i made sure to ask if i was going to stay on fee saver and when i downgraded i asked too and was told yes. I noticed that i had been swapped back to pay per transaction and was getting 300+ charges. Phoned to complain they told me no sorry when you switch you get treated as a new client so no more fee saver. Complained more. It was a long process but after three weeks of arguments and them having to retrieve phone recordings they put me back.
