Wow! That blows the networks right, out the water!

Not sure what water you're swimming in...

CellC has the iPhone5 16GB for R399 - incl 200 minutes, 200 sms's, 500mb data. FNB has JUST the phone for R359...

So for R40 more i'm getting 200 minutes, 200 sms's and 500mb data. Pull the other one FNB, pull the other one!

I hear you, but that seems to be a limited promotional deal.

I wish Cell C would release the pricing for once the 1000 person special is over (which I am sure has already been reached)

This - CellC has the iPhone5 16GB for R399 - incl 200 minutes, 200 sms's, 500mb data. FNB has JUST the phone for R359...

The offer (i think was 329 ?) is over and the price is now 399, which i think is the best deal anywhere so far.

8ta's offer: R358
iPhone 5 16GB on Smart Contract Basic S
Inclusive minutes – to all networks: 0 minutes
Inclusive Data: 450 MB
Inclusive SMSs: 25

If you qualify for the discount it's a lot cheaper than the SPs.

i also called CellC and signed up for the R399 deal, no where on the site it says limited, that was only on mybb yesterday

http://www.cellc.co.za/cell-phone-deals/contract/apple-iphone-5-16gb-on-straight-up-200

there is no other deal in SA that competes with this

The Straight up 200 Contract without a phone and 500mb is R250pm, so basically im paying R150 pm for a Iphone5

Wasn't the original special from Cell C R299 and not R399? I presume R399 is the price after the 1000 person R299 special was over.

Who wants to be locked in for next 2 years to save just like a grand or two ?

No one's locked anywhere, this is buying a phone at an affordable monthly rate with the ability to use your preferred SP (insert CELL C). The phone is delivered without a SIM so it's up to the user to decide whether to get a pay-as-you go or contract SIM. That's great choice and savings all at once as far as I'm concerned.

give the device to the people, why should you have a cheque account or credit card to have access to these offers? Banking with FNB should be the criteria here. What does this line means really-how can i help you?

Clicked the necessary buttons for the FNB offer. I apparently have to wait to find out if my application has been approved or not.

I think the iPhone 5 should be a significant upgrade from my iPhone 3g. :D
