I wanted Mc Donalds after clubbing & fnb decides to decline my transaction wtf. Went to a Absa Atm, declined!

Tried to ewallet myself & draw from fnb atm, declined!

I have funds in my account.

This always happens with FNB. I never have cash on me & this happens. ****ing embarrassing

How do you promote a product like Ebucks that encourages your customers to use their cards & you system goes offline.

What if i was paying for petrol & your stupid system goes offline.

Disgusting. I am moving over to a competitor. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Best to always have at least 2 different bank cards on hand with some funds in both.

Ive had similar situations before with capitec but in those situations its only capitec online banking/app that is offline, cardswipes etc. still work however I tend to only move funds to my card account as I need it so it caused me some grief.

All banks go offline so switching isn’t going to solve the problem. Just get a virgin money credit card and use it as an emergency card.

Knee jerk reaction. You can only blame yourself.

I also use FNB and have had an offline problem maybe once in my life.

I also never ever use cash, but I have R500 stashed in my car at all times as an emergency fund.

Could only transact once yesterday with fnb cc, but SO paid for rest of transactions :D

Been with them for years never any issues but I also have 2 just in case.

Good luck finding a better bank.
Maybe Capitec? I dunno.
Have never had an issue with fnb cards not working.

All of the banks have issues. I used to work for one and was sometimes amazed that they were able to function with the amount of **** that hits the fan on a day-to-day basis

Again with the carrying cash? It's 2019. Time to stop carrying cash.

Never had an issue with FNB.

Sure but you can use one that goes down much less like Nedbank or Capitec.

Oh FFS, just because I've never had an issue, doesn't mean there are no issues. Maybe get your head out your arse.

Imagine if your internet connection went down and you couldn't throw a fit about a system not working because you need the system to rage.
