Less R1200 if you get the discount, then it looks good...

It still only looks ok IMHO. If it were closer to R7,000 after the credit card discount I would've ordered one right now.

But with an extra controller and 2 games? Work out what that would cost you on top of the normal console...
Although this is more illustrative of how over-priced the controller and games are.

This console was advertised for R8K on special during December so R600 difference is not bad considering the Rand/$

Two meh games. The controller is a nice addition though.
I was hoping FNB would get a better deal on the PS4 and translate that through to their customers, especially with such a small run (100 units? What is that, I don't even).

True. Though sometimes they start the deals at very good prices (I think the S4 and Note 3 were at better prices initially), then the prices rose a tad.

Funny enough, I just did:
Console: R6299 (average price from retailers)
Controllers: R799 each
Games: R799 each
Total is R8696. So while not much, if any discount, the monthly instalment options are far more palatable than dropping close to R10k on a console.
