Going through my FNB statements, every month for the last few years I have a debit 're-directed fees from *5516'.
Its a small amount but adds up over time. Does anybody know what this fee is for and why I'm being charged for it?

Did you have any other account linked to your main account, something like a children's account, an investment account, some savings account, some loan account, credit card account, overdraft, or the likes? It is possible that you may have signed an agreement that the other accounts' fees come from your main account.

I currently have the same problem with FNB and they have no idea how to fix it. My daughter had a childrens account. When she turned 18, she went to the bank to apply for a normal bank account. They simply converted her old account and opened up all functionality. Her account no longer appeared on my profile when logging in.

Unfortunately, her account is still linked to my profile. Email, redirected fees, etc. 2 years later and all her bank fees still goes off my main account.

Check all account numbers. Re-directing means your account doesnt attract fees, but gets re-directed from the main account

Told you it's a spaza bank:

FNB have their own hindrances:

Best to use a spaza bank like Capitec. Instant ETF fee on Capitec is R7.50 vs R40 or whatever FNB asks,
