Do they still have discounts on the premium of the smart device?

I recall that if you did - for example - a balance transfer you'd get a certain amount off your premium. Also - do you earn ebucks on the smart device premium?

I know my iPad, it was R200.00pm at that stage. Then if you took a balance transfer or some other service, you'd get R50.00 back.

I'm not sure if they stopped those though?

EDIT : Here's an old article http://www.bandwidthblog.com/2012/1...ional-discounts-on-smart-devices-and-laptops/

This offer enables customers, who purchase a smart device, to get an additional discount of up to either R50 or R100 off their monthly smart device re-payment, provided they comply with certain conditions using their FNB accounts.

O you mean a monthly discount on your instalment?

No idea mate.

I checked up on this recently, unfortunately they don't give the discount anymore :-(

Also no eBucks earned on the premium.

Oh yes, that is true. Sorry I'd forgotten that the Private clients earn eBucks on Premiums, lucky! ;-)

I'm not Private :( But if I'm right on the below, I'm going to try apply :

But if I read that right, I can get 50% back on my premium as I'm reward level 4. The Smartdevice I'm looking at is R960.00 or so, R480.00 worth of ebucks every month - that's R11,520.00 over the period.

And, as you can buy Makro vouchers at less 40%, that's R18,000 worth of Makro vouchers.

Is that the way you read it ?

I'm on private lvl 4 and I'm not earning jack squat on my device.
At least not as far as I can see on my earning breakdown for the last 3 months.
the again, the amount is so miniscule, probably won't show anyways.

According to the site, you should get a few hundred worth - how much is the device?

Or I'm reading it incorrectly?

Get R50 back this month. I think you have to spend more 5k the previous month on credit card.

On Private Wealth (not Private Clients - the old Graphite) you earn eBucks back of up to 100% on up to R500 on your smart device.

I'm on PW level 4, have smart devices that cost more than R500 a month, so it's capped at R500 and get 50% back on that so I earn eB 2500.

Also got R50 rebate this month, well every month. Would also be interested to know if it's still happening with new devices

I am still getting back the R50 a month , but had my device for quite a while now.

I started on gold ,worked my way up to private client.

Got the discount on gold ,plat and private.

Thanks!

I thought that's how it worked, but didn't realise you got Private Banking and Private Wealth, so even if I get bumped to Private Banking it won't work :/

EDIT : Though on this site https://www.fnb.co.za/private-clients/rewards-and-benefits/rewards-and-benefits.html it says in the address Private Clients and it's a link from Private Clients? Though - doers say Private Wealth
