FNB Smartphone/Tablet Special

OK - this is getting to be ridiculous.
I received my second HTC Flyer last week, and they contacted me the same day to let me know that they were delivering my device today (Monday)
They have just delivered my THIRD HTC Flyer.
Who do I contact to get them to stop sending me these things?
I am running out of storage space for them.

I hope you not gonna have to pay for them. Thats R600 so far. I would not be willing/able to pay that

I'm thinking of going with the Flyer...

You can root and activate it's phone calling capabilities.

The Flyer will also be getting ICS so I think I might be game.

Edit:

Funny, on Expansys the 32GB 3G Flyer is available for R4699 which is less than the R4800 you'll pay through FNB for the inferior 16GB so this special is no longer all that enticing.

Ordered it through the website as I'm an existing client, probably going to cancel when they phone me though.

Just wondering...

The Flyer that you guys got, did it come with the pen as well as that white cover?

thanks.

The pen and white wallet thingy come standard in the box.

I got me a black booklet thingy to carry the Flyer in.
Works well, but when you take out the Flyer again, you notice that some of the dye used to colour the leather black has rubbed off on the white rubbery parts of the Flyer.

awesome, was hoping that I didn't have to buy any of those separately, heard that some people in other countries had to buy the pen.

What's wrong with the white cover that it comes with? did you just want the booklet type cover?

There is nothing wrong with the white wallet cover.
For me, the one problem is that it fits too snugly, and I almost have to shake the Flyer out of the cover.

Still loving my iPad!

I also ordered the Samsung Galaxy S2 yesterday through the same deal!

Anybody know how long it takes for delivery now that the rush is over?

Am I correct in assuming the phone will be without the usual Vodacom/MTN bloatware if ordered through FNB?

I really hope so!

But will confirm once I get the phone! Unless somebody else can confirm before that!

None of the tablets, or the HTC Sensation that I got, had any additional bloatware on them.
They all appear straight out of the HTC factory.

I got a SGS2 from CellC on an upgrade earlier this month, and there is no CELLC branding on the phone.
The only CellC stuff on the phone is the SimToolkit, which is handly, and the default web homepage is for CellC.
Other than that, it is dead standard.

Ordered mine on Monday(telephonic application) and Friday 8:30 RTT was on my door to deliver

That's great! Thanks for the feedback.

So I should receive mine by Friday as well and then I can get rid of this Crapberry!

Was a toss up for me between the iPhone and Galaxy S2.

Good to know, thanks.

Another question. Where will your automatic firmware updates come from? Do updates come directly from Samsung or the carriers?

I'm not sure about the updates.
THe Flyers just informed me that a firmware update was available, which I then used WiFi to download.
Whether it is from the carriers or HTC/Leaf I'm not sure.
