FNB system problems frustrate consumers

Yeah this was irritating, although I was still able to do certain stuff like transfer money.

Luckily it wasn't as bad as Absa's dead website a while ago just displaying the IBM page.

FNB is still down :(

Haven't been able to settle my Wesbank account today due the online banking issues.

Standard has much worse issues - incompetent and ignorant staff...

Looking at those tweets, FNB should seriously consider not consider asking those customers to stay...damn. Rather advise them keep their money in their mattresses.

I transferred a sum of money the other night by online banking (through my cellphone) to my home loan. When I checked the following morning, it had not been transferred and I asked the bank to investigate.

I got told that banking was down. Short and sweet is that it moved 24 hours later and was told to accept it. I am not happy with FNB, as I lost investment income while I waited for the transaction to be rectified.

FNB that got you a big FAIL. You could have done better there!

Sorry, that was just over the weekend ;)

If it is a big amount, request to log an interest claim. Due their negligence, they need to refund you for money lost on interest by the investment and the amount they you would've saved on your home loan.

Flip, I can't do once off payments - put in the two OTP numbers and that's it, nothing

Well they using IBM...lol

MTN dropped them like a HOT POTATOE this year.

Catch a wake-up FNB.

They overcharge for services and abuse their employees.

They're getting their comeuppance for ripping off their customers! I bank at FNB and I am totally fed-up with their damned excuses for everything, they justify everything.

This explains my hassles with transferring today, luckily I have a backup ABSA account with sufficient funds...

I cant really say many bad things about FNB never had problems, dont get ripped off with bank charges, normally everything works well, customer service at the branch is good, so i cant really complain, yes there system broke, it happens. Get over it.

I have always banked with FNB and will not leave them in a hurry - have always been happy with products and fees. This problem has not affected me today as I didn't need to bank and my debit orders have gone off already but it must be a huge problem for them. It could happen to ANY company! Hope all gets sorted asap!!

hectic.. I've been an ABSA client all my life but because of many good things I heard about FNB recently I decided to open a business account and give them a try to see if they are really that much better as people were saying. The account is now open for almost 3 weeks and I have yet to be able to do a single transaction with it... and this current outage is just the last in a whole line of mishaps and ballsups. They've been trying since last thursday to get me onto internet banking... I'm still not on it.

If it's this hard to open an account with them how hard is it going to be to do every day banking with them...

Such a meltdown at any other banks across the developed countries and people would get sued and lose their jobs at the bank within hours.

I have been with FNB since the Barclays Bank days and never had a problem - these things happen. Good luck finding the solution..
