FNB Talk - Say Nothing For Less

FNB Connect seems to have major logging in problems at the moment.

Update: No-one contacted me so I phoned in a couple hours after this and a gent took my details and IP address and said he would call me back. Two hours later - nothing. I called in again and spoke to Mlalo. He also took my IP address and said he would call me back. He called me back and asked me to try logging in, but still wouldn't work. His next advice was to reboot the router (done) - still working. My last resort is to reboot my PC. I have a feeling this is also not going to work.

Anyone else struggling to login this week or last week?

Update 2 at 10:30 on 30 March 2011: Still have not been able to login since Tuesday. Mlalo takes my IP address again and confirms that their server is blocking some IP addresses unecessarily and he will whitelist my (static) IP.

Update 3 at 11:01 on 30 March 2011: Okay I can login now. My IP address must have reached the right person. :)

Are you using G729 codec? I have found FNB to work well, provided you setup correctly.

Hi Jamster. I am using the FNB Digital Connect Softphone that you download from their website. I guess this must be auto-configured for G729. What are you using?

According to their packages they are using GSM codec if calling softphone to softphone, i suppose they use G729 when calling a landline

It could be your router that is blocking incomming packets.
1. Enable NAT on router (This will corectly route the packets to your device)
2. Set timeout to 1 minute on router (to keep incomming ports open)
