FNB Twitter storm for "joke"

I laughed. Hard. That's not a joke, it's a meltdown by a social media intern who obviously doesn't want a job ever again.
 
That social media employee just had his or her last paid long weekend...
 
In which mind was that even considered ok to post on a company twitter account?

Another publicity stunt hot off the heals of the US Airways stunt. As the old adage goes... No such thing as bad publicity. It certainly wont have a long term negative impact on the brand so well worth the risk to grab the headlines.
 
Does anyone know who runs the account for them? Is it an external company or all done internally?

I might be mistaken, but I think the saying is "there is no such thing as bad publicity". But yes. Publicity Gareth Cliff/Julias Malema style.
 
Well, Ernst van Dyk did just beat all the runners in his wheelchair at the Boston marathon. So, very apt.

have to agree.... it is still a normal human being behind the keyboard, who tried to have fun with his post as social PR by placing joke he designed on the spur of the moment.

yes... errr ... a joke people? heck - if he said Zuma or Pistorius was doing the same, people will probably have reacted differently.
Jokes is 99% of the time going to offend some or other group - if they choose to take it up like that?

He did apologize - lets move on and continue bothering Juliaass mebe? :P
