FNB website down?

"Working" and "System currently unavailable, Please try again later" don't quite mean the same thing to me... I needz mah Tuesday pizza, dammit!
Skip a meal and drop a kg. They're rebooting the servers.

See the Speedpoints and ATMs are supposedly working again. Why on Earth would I voluntarily pass on pizza? I'll start skipping meals when I need to lose weight, thankyouverymuch. :p

What a nightmare, had to pay for my car's service yet everything was down, ATM's everything! yet no response from FNB?

I guess steve is happy.

Steve can i move back ?

Thats why i bank with at least 2 banks. I will never be embarrassed by not being able to pay. I just pull out my credit card from another bank

Municipal power surge tripped everything.

Mainframes take a while to boot up... :-/

Where the hell do you service your car? I've had a car since 2001 and whenever I've serviced it I get an invoice to pay. They don't hold a gun to my head and require immediate payment "or else".... geezas. Calm the **** down.

Just what I was thinking :o

Yup. FNB mainframe down.

Municipal power surge tripped everything.

Heard on radio there was a big outage. In the age of electronics and technology, I guess these things are bound to happen.

Its undertandable that some people can be upset. I don't bank with FNB but what if a FNB client filled their car's fuel tank and wanted to swipe his garage or debit card and got declined? That could have been quite a sticky situation. Just saying...... Correct me if I'm wrong?
lolz, according to the FNB facebook page, there were quite a few people that put petrol in and couldnt pay! Loads also embarrassed with trollies filled with groceries.

We got caught at the store, thankfully we had a friend with cash but i was terrified we had been defrauded cos I knew we had funds, my panic reached fever pitch when I couldnt log on anywhere to check.

Epic fail imo!

I had a surge/brownout here too. (2km from FNB's main facility). Fortunately my UPS passed the test.

It's back up. Luckily was just logging in to see my balances, didn't need to use the card.

Internet Banking still down.

Might be a long night for the techies. And still more problems for customers.

Eish!

http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/413436-FNB-System-Down-at-01-30am

I jinxed it a few days back it seems ...

Last night coming home and fill up with petrol at 01:30am ... and the same thing happens with the petrol card, the credit card and my Discovery credit card (FNB) - all declined. Guy looked at me like a dodgy criminal and refused to take my license

FNB must have hired some new folks because the website has looked crappy with amateur illustrations for a while and the new mobile banking site is sluggish, and now this.

fnbconnect

Can connect and log in now to the FnbConnect site, but login with my router fails. No connection. Telkom account working perfectly as you can see.

I notice FNB also no longer send any sms when one login . Only a email but I think that can not be to safe ??

Thats cost cutting for you.

But still safe, cause if any money moves, you will get an sms. To add a beneficiary you will get an sms with a pin thats needed to authorize. If you make a once of payment you will get an sms with a pin thats needed to authorize

F-ING CNUTS!!!!!

All my cards! FNB APP! Cellphone Banking! FNUCKING NOTHING!!!

Call the CNUTS, and and I'm put on hold for 30 minutes!!!

I had to pay for my car service!!! They people thought I was trying to defraud them since I can't pay them by any means! I haven't been so embarrassed in FOREVER!

A bit of an extreme reaction, you think they take their systems offline to make you look like an idiot? You obviously do a good enough job of it yourself, don't really need their help.
