FNB is the only bank that supports paypal..... that's a WIN for me!
Yes I agree. I recently upgraded my Cheque account and I was told I don't need to pay any monthly fees any more (which I have confirmed), as long as I keep a certain amount in my account. Something I don't mind at all.
Wonder how this will get monitored. fnbica? Nice way to launder money. Crazy.
I can't see what all the hype is about: ABSA's CashSend is all this and more.
With CashSend, the recipient doesn't even need to have a cell-phone .. all they need are 2 codes that are generated when the sender creates the transaction. One is a 6-digit PIN, the other is a 10-digit number. Yes, these codes can be sent automatically by SMS, but they can be provided verbally, or in writing or any other format without requiring a cell-phone.
And it's been around since before October 2008, which was when I first used it!
R9 for a transaction, my goodness?
Drawing R1k at any banks ATM (excluding Capitec) costs >R10.

...the sender gets charged a transaction fee of about R9 and the recipient DOES NOT have to pay to get the money.
