fnb's loading bar is just placebo!

haha... That's hilarious :p

Although is there still a percentage-based loading bar? I haven't seen it in ages, only the small one in the top left corner.

I'd also be more inclined to blame the devs for that than I would FNB itself.
 
I sometimes feel the Microsoft bars are the same

Nonsense. It's a critical aspect that results in this individual losing his trust in the bank because he feels grossly deceived/taken for a fool/whatever.

I do find it really funny though. It just seems so pointless (apart from encouraging patience in users).
 
Never trust a progress bar.

But honestly, this is quite terrible from FNB. I always thought nothing was happening when the progress bar came up on FNB, but to know that it is completely fake is shocking.
 
C'mon okes. It's just a universally understood way of saying. "ok, we got your instruction and we're working on it". Surely no knowledgeable person ever thought it was actually measuring anything behind the scenes?

It's funny, but it doesn't really matter.

They could have easily just added a spinning wheel to show something's happening.

EDIT: Actually what is more hilarious is that this Davyd McColl guy got all butthurt about it and is now defending the Progress Bar's Virtue.
