Focus on the positive, says SABC

The very same people they now cannot pay for work rendered?

He said an asset register was needed.

"If those assets are there, they must show they are there. We have to make sure. We have to account for those assets... to the auditor general."

Wait a second, what do you mean an asset register was needed? Don't the SABC have one?

No wonder they struggle.

Well done SABC

Your new screening "SHORELINE" is excellent -- really -- this production could be put on International NG or Discovery.

Well done to the producers of this series -- top notch -- guys ( and gals )

It is something I wish I could have done.

You are also screening it in the right time slot --

If this is what your new beginning looks like I can only wish you the best of luck.

Concentrate on this and forget about the politics and you should be OK

Except the politics translates into money. No money, no "Shoreline". Catch-22, eh?

true... this show is excellent. but the sabc production lines have concentrated more on soapies than programming that's informative... what happened to screening of international sporting events like cricket, F1, etc, and quality other quality shows? i think they need a rethink about their services

What positives?

They've managed to tank a large portion of the local production industry by not paying them... They've abused taxpayers money... They air carp...

I actually can't think of a single positive thing the SABC has done recently...

Thinking of something positive about the SABC....

mmmmm.....

Just do not know the last thing i remember was Wielie Walie....

After scrapped TV lic.............

The retarts waste close to a billion rand and call it a minor bump. There was quality TV and programs when there was only 20 "White Owned" production houses, I remember having a full schedule during the week of programs I used to watch. Now that that there is close to 400 production companies of who knows what I no longer watch tv but download everything I want to see.

OMW! Hows the attitude of the SABC!

The SABC through Kaizer Kganyago's mouth openly admits to throwing money away and then has the audacity to use the fact that they threw money away to try to vindicate themselves!

What a pile of utter ignorant and completely inexcusable crap!

He said despite the SABC having done all this work, the public and media chose to "concentrate on these smaller bumps".
Well, if it's really such a small bump, then I am sure that Kganyago will not mind paying for the small bump out of his own pocket.

WHAT? Methinks that perhaps Captain Obvious' number should be handed out to these clowns.

And now they not only expect to be given more money to waste, but they probably will / already have been given the money!

After moving into my new house and watching SABC for the past two weeks, DSTV can get my money with a smile!

I can't stand all the locally produced crap that SABC air. Ancient movies and local soapies are flipping boring. I'd rather watch the grass grow outside than sit through another episode of Isidingo, 7nde laan or Generations.
I resent the fact that I have to pay SABC so that someone produces that garbage.
