Umm, which is my point - Liverpool should have the funds then :)

Have you heard about common sense? Apparently its quite hard to find.
Have you heard about reading? Our revenue is 2/3 of what yours is. What you earn in 2 years, takes us 3 years. It's not that hard to understand.

In other metrics, your earnings are 50% more than what ours are.

That's not the discussion here (read again, seeing you so keen on the skill). You still consistently in the top 10 richest clubs in the world.

But yes, Liverpool are poor cousins in relation to United.

Well, Kopite posted before something that Liverpool cant compete with the other clubs (or something to that effect). Don't sue me for not getting the exact wording wrong. And I've seen bit n pieces over the years where its the same sort of refrain. Klopp just had a go at the spending of of Chelsea a couple of days ago as well. You missed that?

Wait, wait....you're using Kopite as a source????

More seriously, in Klopps comments of a couple of days ago he wasn't claiming 'poverty', he said “We live in a world at the moment with a lot of uncertainty,” ie future revenues are uncertain at best (given no matchday income and no guarantee that future TV rights would be at the same level as in the past (some evidence provided by the Chinese broadcaster who defaulted on their payment to the PL).

Being prudent isn't 'claiming poverty'

Hell, I'm more prudent in these Covid times even though I'm not claiming poverty - fortunately I haven't had to take a salary cut but I know for sure that bonus and increase will be non-existent next year given my companies performance this year due to Covid.

So ja...

Man, I wish I had oil money at my disposal to sommer spend like there has been no worldwide impact to the economy as a result of Covid...

This is the banter thread dude, not a scientific debate forum :)

Yup, you've had decades to capitalise on your decades of success - LFC only started down the full commercialisation route a relatively short time ago (and after nearly being bankrupted by our bastard owners at the time)

Yes, we are. The rich cousins keep saying "let them eat cake"

Meanwhile OGS checking phone every 5min to check update on Sancho

Oh, there it is!! Hello KOPITE! Well, obviously you need to upgrade seeing as you lost to a midtable team, and then almost lost to a newcomer to premier league at home. And if Barcelona raid your Salah.....

Couts cost Barca €160 million.

What's the going price on a Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup champion, who's also a PFA Player of the Year and EPL Golden Boot winner?

Who knows. But it obviously sends shivers down the spine of Liverpool fans :)

Not even a bit.

If Barca want to pay that kinda money, I'm sure Michael Edwards has a favourite restaurant in Paris for a lunch with Kylian Mbappe.
