For TelkomInternet subscribers.

65G and then Telkom aborted the life I was downloading.

*sigh* i would love to be able to download like that but i just can't bring myself to get a TelkomInternet account... It is like selling what is left of my soul to the devil.

Yup, I know. Very shocking, how can Telkom expect anyone to download life on such a paltry bandwidth allowance. I doubt I even managed to get a third of the way.

Will just have to try again next month I guess...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't them remaining uncapped be due to their routers? I mean when it auto connects on certain routers (e.g. Telkom 5100) if gives you the same IP that you had before.. couldn't they be remaining on the uncapped IP range or something?

Oh and another, is there such a thing as the uncapped IP range?? Or is it now IP range, and non-existent useless ADSL line:p?

Are you guys still able to hammer the downloads? Has anybody been capped around the 3 gig mark?

Aren't you guys paranoid telscum is going to send you a bill?

Youve obviously not heard of their whole bandwidth sharing thing that allows us to use and abuse Telkom the way we do.

Im on 35gigs still uncapped.

That is what I feel like.

Has anybody been capped at 3 gigs.

Yep...

This is all about the anti competitive side of Telkom. Forcing the ISP to offer a pathetic 3Gb when they quietly don't cap. Criminal - they should be roasted.

Mmm... did see something about this: if I recollect (correct me if I'm wrong) - telscum are 'avereging' their bandwidth over all users - so collectively we are working with whatever cap that is... and when telscum goes over they will enforce 3 gig limit - is this correct?

This is a VERY lame excuse for trying to force ISP's such as OpenWeb out of the market....

Ja thats pretty much it, they explain it themselves at http://telkomsa.net/.

Ive got a feeling that its going to change next year cos they say that theyll be introducing pay-as-you-go options.
