For those with Plasmas?

Plasma guys, what is your view/opinion on the belief that the image on plasma screens becomes more dull and washed out over time due to the nature of the technology?

All comparisons show LCD and plasma to have the same life but what does the comparative image on the two look like by then? I know none of you have probably got there but what does your research show?

I would imagine the picture degeneration is so gradual you unlightly to notice. I still maintain a plasma has a richness in picture absent in LCD's so it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other...

Having said this my old Pvision looked alarmingly washed out next to the new Sammy but more a case of old tech then rotten gas.. :)
 
I also think you got to be realistic about how long you want to keep this thing for. If you can get 7 years out of a R10k plasma thats pretty good going. R119 per month? You going to outgrow the Plasma before it out grows you...

Okay well you would be stupid to grab one then... seriously... Your patination has paid dividends... time to cash in. Get the HD PVR while you at it... Just in time for the home leg of the Sharks Super14 campaign and they look to be on an upward peak. We barely half way through the tournament. They might just sneak a place in the top 4. You wouldn't want to be witnessing that on a 54CRT in SD??!!!!! Surely??!!!
