Power off the set, then press info, menu, mute and power button in quick succession. Power off to exit service menu but all settings will revert to the default settings so write them down if you want them. There all kinds of settings to be adjusted but rather read up on it 1st cause they have implications. How do u get to that menu?

hahaha, nah man, these are precautions taken to prevent issues not create them..tx
Too much effort for me.
I think you faff and fart ass too much with the settings, burning in etc, that's why you get the issues.

Hi Derek,
Sorry for the dealy. Below I've linked to 5 images whereby I was able
to capture the situation in
question. This is regarding the PS50B550 50" Samsung plasma that you
are currently working on.
I had to upload them to a server since they were just too big to e-mail out.
The source material is DSTV. The DSTV decoder (DSD-1110) is connected
to my home theatre receiver (Yamaha RX-V795a) via component which in
turn is connected to the TV via component.
I cannot reproduce this via HDMI since I don't have a TV source, like
an HD-PVR connected to it.
I notice this mainly on commercials since that is the only material
where a solid white background with text or graphics are displayed.
I watch the TV from about 2.5m or so and notice it clearly. Although
these pictures were taken closer to the TV, it is still visable from a distance.
Looking at the images

It is the closing screen to a Dial Direct commercial. Look at the "d"
in dial direct, you can see to the left of the "d" a trail stretching
acorss the remainder of the screen on the left. Also look at the
words "simple smart ..". Look at the left of the "s" in simple. Note
the long trail as well. The same can be said to the left of the 0 in
the 0860 number as well as the www address at the bottom of the
screen.
The same occurs on the right side as well

Again, you can see a trail to the left of the T and the f.

This is on a yellow background, not nearly as visiable as the white
though. The picture doesn't do it justice though.

Here the evidence is more to the left of the word "mega".

See the trail to the left of the Mutual and Federal logo.
Good to hear it's getting sorted IPMM.@sandmanm34 It is quite concerning that your TV is showing so many hours. How long have you had it?
An update. I got my TV back on Friday! Man, one thing is for sure - over the past week, my wife and I have really appreciated our plasma a lot since we had to live with a little 52cm CRT. It is so nice to have my plasma back! Now I can catch up on my TV shows.
Just over the past few days, I've been keeping my eye on the issue at hand and found that it isn't as bad as it was. We still have this coming week to really sus it out, so I don't want to give my verdict as yet.
But one thing that I did find was when I changed the display profile to "Movie" the screen was much darker than what it was before. I had my profile on Movie before I sent it in. I've changed it to Standard now which I am happy with. If I notice anything else, I'll put up an update. It is like night and day between Movie and Standard now.
Which is why I've reset to factory defaults in the service menu when I got my set back..Just for info, and not to upset, but i know the tsch guys CAN change brightness etc in the service menu. This would mean less IR etc. So hopefully that's NOT what they have done in order to satisfy your complaint.
