FORCA Espana

Don't think Spain will win it myself. They've got an excellent squad but a number of players are not at their best and Del Bosque has made some terrible selection and formation choices imo. Villa has almost single-handedly gotten them to where they are now. Every goal of Spain's so far has either been scored or assisted by Villa.
They've got an easy route to the semis, but I reckon they'll be knocked out by Germany/Argentina.

all said and done, with torres on the field, they have been playing with 9 outfield players for most of the cup. once he fires (and he will, mark my words) thats the trophy straight to the spanish cabinet to join the euro trophy. they haven't been at their best yet this world cup, and they still look amazing :D

Seems like Iniesta, Xavi and Villa are going to rip defences apart for Barcelona next season.

Watched the goal again and Villa is a perfect fit for Xavi and Iniesta.

Strange to see that Pep opted for Ibra instead of Villa last season... I would have gone with Villa last season and then bought Silva this year to fill that left side... but Pedro should suffice as Villa is going to make him look even better than last season

Villa never wanted to go last season, valencia's financial problems are the only reason he has left.

Barca have been wanting Villa for 4 seasons.

Can't watch Youtube at work. I assume you are talking about the goal were Villa is clearly offside, can't finish the first time but finally gets lucky from rebound off the keeper. I've seen better to be honest. I see news24 has it up on its top 10 world cup ref blunders list.

the goal is not offsides

Ya, im talking about the goal in the Portugal game where Iniesta flicks it too Xavi and Xavi backheels it to Villa where he strikes it with his weaker left foot and bangs the rebound home with his right foot.

I also saw better from Villa but that does not matter, what does matter is that he scored.

Not if Spain is relying on Villa and Villa operating on the left... he's going to be kept quiet by Lahm and Swinestiger (htf you spell his name).

Remember Spain is a bit slow at the back so if they press up the Germans are going to dominate them on the counter attack... oh the height of the Germans also makes a difference too.

Have you ever seen Spain not press up? They will push the Germans back as they do every team. They did it against the Germans at the Euro's and will do it again.

Why do people say Spain are relying on Villa? He is a freakin striker, his job is to score goals and that is what he is doing. Dont be fooled by zee Germans beating England and Argentina.

lol, Spain has been exceedingly boring this world cup

If you call slick passing and technical dribbling boring, then ya - i guess they are boring.

They will push the germans back but they will also be put under major pressure, the germans defend and attack in numbers.

Going to be an absolute epic.

Dont think zee Germans will be able to handle Spain's possession game. They will have to play counter attack football but they will be starved of possession.

I was seriously impressed with Paraguay last night. They hustled Xavi and Iniesta very well.

Possession game? You mean when Portugal gave them the ball and never tried to take it from them.
Lol The Germans will annihilate Spain!!! Even with 30% ball possession, Germany will score 4 goals, Spain with 80% ball possession only managed 1 goal against Portugal!! :p

Imagine Spain in this competition without Villa, you guys would be at home already!

You want to bet that Germany will give Spain the ball just like Portugal did? You act as if Portugal had a choice. When Spain played Germany in the Euro's they ''gave'' them the ball as well.

I love debates where users say just ''imagine'' bla bla bla bla. LoL

Did you even read my post... it dont matter how much ball possesion Spain might have, the Germans make much better use of the ball than any other team in this competition...
Portugal gave the ball away every time... yes they did!!

Spain was lucky against Paraguay... im not sure if Paraguay played well or not, but Spain played like crap!! :)
