Ford Ecosport feedback please

Good day everybody,

I have been watching vehicle sales lately for am in the market to buy a new vehicle and a SUV is what I am interested in and the ones that makes my head turn everytime is the EcoSport and Nissan Qashqai.

After reading quite a lot of posts and comments regarding the Ford EcoSports and all their gimmicks - some guys experienced bad situations and others have good memories again. I drive a City Golf 1.3 - nothing major. as I said I am busy looking at cars on the internet the last few months and Ford always remains the one I choose in the end.

I have seen the following EcoSport on Carfind and I am open for any opinion and advise. What are your thoughts on this one - good buy or not?

Get the TDCI one , I was given the ecoboost engine which my Fiesta Ecoboost was in the shop the EcoSport sucks more gas than the Fiesta

He is looking at the 1.5l naturally aspirated petrol engine Ambiente spec (I can tell that from the pic of the car), and that engine is the only one in the pre-facelift Ambiente .

the thing is that I don't really know much about turbos. so what if the turbo oneday fails... how much will it be for a new one? what time period does turbo's generally last? do they go easily after 50k km's for example?

Wife drives a Nissan qashqai 1.2T auto - good cars, just the turbo lag on take off is a bit annoying.
Not the most powerful but gets the job done and quiet economical on long runs.

Turbos last based on how you take car of it, make sure you use the right viscosity of oil, change your oil and filter on time, remember these turbos are to assist with fuel efficiency not racing

My Fiesta is a 2015 model I have about 58000Km on the clock and no issues.

Replacement turbos will depend on brand you looking to replace it with

That is a bit of a problem. because I do like the "little bit of higher than usual cars" feeling and sometimes when I am in the "racey" mood then I do putt foot in my golf just to be a bit "WINDGAT" for 2 or 10 blocks.... just to get the feeling of it.

What is the best website to go and check for turbo prices? Now I am curious of the prices for if I do decide to take a EcoSport Turbo oneday that I atleast know what I will be looking at?

I don't know anyone recently that had a turbo failure they pretty durable.

I think it can be fuses, that has gone out though, or a wire disconnection, or something that is causing the light bulbs to not working. Maybe new light bulbs might help?

In my opinion, I don't think that I will ever buy a Renault vehicle. The clios are pretty cars though but the french just doesn't do it for me

I had to replace the right rear brake light bulb on mine after 2 1/2 years. Clearly Indian light bulbs don't last. Never had to change a Ranger bulb even after 5 years.

Look at a Suzuki Vitara.

Well the main aftermarket turbo brands are Borg Warner , precision and the Garrett.
