Good morning All, I would like to find out something here. Which fuel is best to use on a Ford Figo as I fiil it us but only get less than 550km/ tank. I currently use ULP93, could this be the factor?

I think you will have to give a bit more info. like age of vehicle , mileage and more or less where you stay .

2014 Model, mileage is 28630 and bought as a demo on the 30th of September. I stay in Vereeniging and work in Roodepoort. I use N1 daily.

I also owned one, I would say that is about the best your are going to get regardless of the octane you are using as I use to run both. Remember its only a 45L tank, so its 8.18 L/100km which is pretty standard.

Then my V6 vehicle does not do to badly at 11l-13l(bad traffic)/100km on local roads. 6.8 on the open roads. :p
I have been wondering how it would compare to smaller engines. Though higher in some aspects it fair pretty well over all.

In all fairness I use to drive that little thing like a complete ****. Op are you getting 550km exactly or are you just going off what the DTE is saying?

I drive a Figo and get 12km/l in traffic and open road not more than 14km/l. So 530 is average on combined driving.

Then I think I will keep my car. I was considering selling it and getting one with a smaller engine, but if this is what smaller engines offer then I think mine is ok :)

In the sandton traffic I usualy got 520km before the 80km left warning came on.

Now with my new freeflowwing traffic commute I get 600km before 80km left warning.

I use 95, engine idles smoother than 93 and gets slightly better consumption figures

I had one for a month while my car was getting repaired, your mileage sounds about right actually. On my 1.6 Polo I was getting roughly that too.

my girlfriend has the 2013 model which has 24thousand odd km, and i thought she was crying wolf about the fuel consumption until i had it for 3weeks :( . Reported it with the dealership and the guy had the balls to say, 'just get the Fiesta its more efficient'.

Avoid the Focus! Currently sitting on about 12 L/100km in mine.

I only get 430-450km with the 38-39L that goes into the tank when filling to the click. So around 8.75 L/100km.

Consumption on these cars is rubbish unless you drive so slowly that you are an annoyance to other road users.
