I have a 2012 Ford Figo Ambiente and for some reason the brake lights are not working. The rear light on top works it is only the side brake lamps that aren’t working. I checked the fuses, they are 100%, and the globes are also in perfect condition. I checked the switch on the brake pedal, all wires are in tact. I asume it is not the switch because the rear brale light still works. The fuse currently in is 15amp. What else could be wrong???

The neutral wire on car rear lights is a frequent problem on some cars. Check the tail lights first as suggested.

Otherwise you need a multi-meter, and/or a known good bulb and some wire. A two person job, unless you put a brick on the brake pedal.

So the checking you did was more than just a visual inspection, right?
Opened tha casing, took out the globe and there is no wires loose like a blown globe has. If it was the globe, why would left and right be out?

Visible inspection is not enough. You need to actually test them.
Just go to midas and buy replacements. They're a lot cheaper than the hassle of someone rear ending you.

Good question, however it is a good tactic to eliminate it entirely, before you go on to more complex troubleshooting.

An interesting thing I found on a Fiesta, which your figo is based on, there a two fuses for the rear lights, one for each side. Check if this is not the case with the brake lights, since you said the top one is working.

That would have been my last check tomorrow. There is n fuse that says STOP and then another one for lights and tailgate light. I still haven’t checked that fuse. I will try the globes and those fuses and will let you know, hopefully its that

For sure, I agree lol. Will check tomorrow

Out of curiosity... I told a guy in a Figo a couple days ago that only his top light was working.

Small world or do figos come with super crappy bulbs?

There are suddenly a lot of cars with non working rear brakelights that I have noticed, various brands, the other day I was behind 3 of them on a downhill (I was the fourth with out lights lol), just the center brakelight working.
