For all of these jokes, these guys do use slightly different purchasing approaches. They often form purchasing groups to get discounts from wholesalers. Foreigners tend to band together, while locals are more individualistic.

Whose fault is that?

Like a BEE woman told me once in a client meeting "Just tell us where to source the parts and what to do then it will be cheaper for us"..... I wont repeat what I told her.

It's no ones fault, but claiming that hard work is all that makes them better isn't true. Somalis/Pakistanis/Bangladeshis will work together in SA, but wouldn't necessarily do that back home.
 
We don't just lack hard workers, we lack smart workers. The average intelligence of our population is the real problem...

It's not only hard work there I agree. It's also Work Ethic, Intelligence, Attitude, Willingness, Entrepreneuring, Humanity, Humility, Gratitude, Not Self Entitled, Respect for life, Respect for others and their belongings, Do believe that they should get everything for free like housing, taxis, The list can go on endlessly. Small things the locals cannot grasp that makes foreigners more employable and acceptable to work with.

Its not like that for all locals but there seem to be this strange traits in the younger generations.

Going by the ANC brain farts spreading hatred and disagreement it's Apartheid and Jan van Riebeeck's fault, similar to the story that Dr H Verwoerd made maths very complicated for alterior reasons.

While the younger generation is becoming more restless, these sorts of riots happen in the shopkeepers' countries of origin too. As someone else pointed out, the guys who come here tend to be better than the average worker from those countries. This is a general trend with immigrants.

Depends what these little shops turn over. you do know there are rules and regulations as for when one should register for tax and submit forms.

It just shows what goes on in that dumb shyts brain and her being in charge of small business .
