Form submissions

First off, it's a Linux server.

Secondly, I doubt the provider would know what to do, but thanks, I'll have a chat with them and see if they have PHP correctly configured.

Thirdly, is there any other options open to me?

Depends on your host. You might be better off moving to another host if they don't know what they are doing - or you might be on a static-only account.

I am on a static only account, but I would think something like PHP would be default. What else can I then do on a static account to get something like forms working?

The more I deal with these providers the more I think we should move. If I had my choice we would be with Texo, but allas, the committee must decide such things...

They are charging us R800-00 p/a for 50MB static website, see my frustration?

Oh yes. I pay less for a .Net host.

Static account means exactly what you see. Only HTML - nothing dynamic. If you want PHP, change accounts or move providers.

The only thing you can do is have the form post to an email address. This is not recommended, because you'll probably end up being spammed by bots. Alternatively, check out something like Google Docs' spreadsheet forms. Might just work for you.

R800 for a 50MB STATIC PAGE?! That's ridiculous! Try GamCo as well, good .NET hosting prices and support for other technologies as well.
