Christijan Albers and Spyker part company

Christijan Albers will not race with the Spyker team for the remainder of the 2007 season, it was announced on Tuesday. The Dutch squad revealed the decision to terminate their current contract was taken as result of commercial difficulties caused by one of Albers’ personal sponsors.

“This has been a very difficult decision,” explained Spyker team principal Colin Kolles.

Klien linked to Albers' Spyker seat

Christian Klien has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Christijan Albers, if the Dutchman departs Spyker prior to the European Grand Prix.

While reports that Dutchman Albers' sponsor Mingya is late in due payments to the Silverstone based team circulate, Klien was seen leaving the Spyker factory on Monday.

Klien is scheduled to join his Honda team at Spa Francorchamps in his capacity as test and reserve driver, but it is now suggested that the former Jaguar and Red Bull racer might also test for Spyker.

Even after his split with Red Bull last year, 24-year-old Klien is still backed considerably by sponsors, but Williams' tester Narain Karthikeyan has also been linked with the seat.

Karthikeyan drove for the team in its former Jordan guise in 2005, but suggestions that Giedo van der Garde is also a possibility for the seat are wide of the mark because the Dutchman has failed to secure a Super License for 2007.

He will, however, test for Spyker at Spa this week.

The smart money should be on Ferrari, with the FIA stating they are not averse do deducting points from teams and drivers for this espionage scandal. And they say they will be conducting their own investigation, and we all know FIA investigations always seem to come out in favor of Ferrari:D

i doubt that hamilton will win, he has absolutly not rain experience, and the moment he hits the rain, he wil be screwed. Alonso had a bit of a lead last race but kimi did a fantastic job. You could see, that when hamilton is under a lot of pressure, he makes little mistakes, like when the lollypop men turning his stick, he drove off... or tried to. When kimi got up his ass during the race, he got sooo scared and made little mistakes. I think he is to young to race in F1, and that he cant win a World Cup now. Michael started doing really well when he was like 28 29 years old.

ummm no michael started doing well when he got into a decent car, he did well in crap cars though

i have internet banking dont u ground, we dont need amazon just account no's :)

Sure, np - I thought you needed a corresponding account name... so is it on?
Oh, and just to confirm, I say R100 says it's Lewis Hamilton for world champ this year... quote me and tell us your prediction... ;)

yup i got 100 on kimi u on hamilton

done deal

when its over the winner just needs to supply his account details for payment :)

it is? the guy at mclaren has just said that he showed the documents to a few ppl at mclaren

why would ferrari accuse mclaren of this?

i think mclaren is involved in a huge way and i know they will loose points

cheating is not on

look at that pepsi coke thing, the guys at pepsi called the feds and did not use the formula they could have gotten from the bad guys

u know your screwed when the guy who has a 700 page doc on ferrari says he showed it to ppl at mclaren

It's my opinion that he may have an axe to grind. But, like I said, the idea is preposterous in the extreme.

Yeah, hard luck, but it looks like he will race at least. Let's hope this race is won on the track. I won't say good luck, killadoob, I suspect I may need it more ;)
