Formula 1 2007

It could be either. He purposely sped up (knowing how fast a pace car can go, around a corner and in the wet!), moved to the right protecting his rear AND narrow the angle as you are not allowed to overtake. He was fully aware that something was going to happen! Ruthless tactic that one day will come back and haunt him.

I struggle to believe that he did not know before hand what the potential consequences of driving in that way are. He is a very well paid professional who spends hours very day thinking of every consequence to every situation. Their is no way that he had not run over a situation like that in his mind before.

Using rain, visibility etc as excuses/justification simply make him appear amateurish, which as we have seen this season he is anything but. Oh no he knew exactly what he was doing. He is a professional. My opinion.

I agree. He is definitely not a team player. If he had been following the pace car at the correct speed none of this would have happened. But he moved off the path taken by the pace car resulting in the cars following him having to slow down even further waiting for him to get back in line because of the no overtaking rule which resulted in the crash.

Why is he so hated? I lost interest on F1 after SABC lost the broadcasts rights.

He is arrogant and plays the media for all it's worth (pretends to be a goody two shoes). He is either going to cause a massive accident or will be involved in one.

Just take a look at this move and the results of it.

Racing is serious business. If you make a mistake, it could cause the death of someone.

Agree 100%. It is unbelievable how his true colours have come out. His arrogance and acting as if he is above the law, is really disturbing.

Tainting F1 if you ask me. There have been, and will be, much better champions out there. Sure, he is fast, but the way he goes about it takes all that away.

And I really believe that he is so naive and has yet to understand how the corporate/real world works.

I am pretty sure he won't win next year.

hamilton makes rookie mistake out of the gp

raiki 1 alonso 2 :)

going to an awesome next race with 3 possible champ contenders

Isn't Lewis gonna complain?! I mean he should have been allowed to get into the spare car and continue or the crane should have put him back on the track (again)! :D

Man, how funny will it be if he duffs it up in the last race too!

or he should have been able to get into the safety car and finish the race with that and win not so. :)

In his own mind Lewis would think that he could win driving the crane!

It's going to be interesting next year when he may not have a top notch experienced co-driver. I predict that McClaren will roll backwards down the grid as the season progresses.
