In the Cape at the moment, about thirty minutes ago, whilst sitting in a dark room, the lights of my fortuner just blinked. My room windows are 2m from my car, I glanced out the window and saw that the inside car lights were on, I quickly grabbed my keys and pressed the lock key and headed outside. The car was now locked, and there was nobody to see inthe street, but who or what had unlocked my car?

Now sitting in the dark watching my car, was it the wind, or another persons car in the area? Was it a potential person looking to borrow my car?

Why on earth would my car blinked it's lights and unlocked itself.

The car is behind a gate, but I know this means nothing to the pro's

Do I just ignore the whole matter and go to sleep?

Will my wagon still be there in the morn?

Lock the car and disconnect the battery or something if you are worried about that dude...

The wind will not unlock your car. It could possibly have been someone with an unscrambler. But isn't your size enough to scare off potential borrowers when you went down to check on your car?

Been almost an hour now, sitting in the dark staring out a darkened window at the car, nothing...... Nobody has come near the place, paranoia setting in, could they be waiting to return? is there even a they? Did you hear that? Was it the wind?

This happened to one of my previous cars. Turned out to be the alarm system and was replaced with a new system.

Check for damage or tampering in the passenger side footwell in the morning.

You see! I knew of I waited somebody would post something that would put my paranoia to bed!

That's the reassurance I needed, not stories about ghosts, wheels under my bed and battery sabotage......

Gonna wait another 15minutes then I am gonna give up the ghost and get some tourist sleep!

Before you drive off tomorrow, check that your Tuna isn't standing on bricks.
