FOX coming to DSTV?

[satanboy]

Anyone watched yet?

My screen comes up black (but I can see the menu).

next:
Grey's Anatomy S5E18
Simpsons S8E10

I am on Compact and I can't view the channel (125). However. Two things:

1. My DSTv app shows the shows in the menu (Compact boquet menu) and
2. As expected, the call centre agent was ill informed of when exactly we (Compact subscribers) will be able to start viewing the channel.

Does anyone have an idea?

Rescan your decoder. Should fix it.

did that no difference

waiting for instructions from "installer" (live in apartment complex and needs specific setup)

Single cable setup? In that case, add frequencies 10730 and 11210...

[Quantum Theory]

If the above does not work, the installer must come out to do a level adjustment at the head-end equipment of the complex.

If it's anything like the FOX channel that's on Top TV this is really nothing to get exited about.

+1 TopTv's Fox Africa channels are littered with ancient stuff that has been repeating endlessly.

MyBB should have an article that compares the Fox Africa channels content/schedules broadcast on TopTv and Dstv to see if there are any differences.

As far as I know, Fox is only on DSTV premium.

I have had a look at the schedules on both providers and it is the exact same content and schedule.

It will help if you plan your viewing. Look out for Falling Skies, The Walking Dead, Da Vinci's Demons.

has Top TV lost this channel to DSTV?

No, Top TV still has Fox.
I think it's just that DSTV will also have it.

Correct, Fox is now on both platforms.

I suspected that would be the case.

It will be interesting to see what Dstv viewers think of the Fox Africa channels as the channels are now (prior to any alleged forthcoming content improvements). I suspect Dstv viewers will find these channels below the standard that they are accustomed to.

The programs are 2 seasons or more behind and not interesting to me besides Simpsons & Buffy the vampire slayer which I can download anyway.
