Managed to get in on the Afrihost action and got a free MiFi router with 5GB for R145. Cancelled my Vodacom 1GB promo today until something better comes along. :cool:

Jannie, I thought you'd mentioned that the 3Gb data contracts would also receive upgrades, even though the pic does not show the 3Gb data contracts. Can you confirm?

And theoretically all the "upgrades" should be completed by 21 Aug?

I've not seen any balance increase on 2 of my 3Gb data contracts (1x post-paid, 1x top-up).

Is there a way I could check if I got more data on my ipad contract?

Also, is there a way I could check online to check balance of data bundle.
When I log onto vodacom.co.za, I can see my phone and wife's phone, just not my ipad data.

Also who can I chat to regarding where my upgrade is?
Did an online upgrade (hoping getting extra data there too as it stated so) but can't see when will be delivered.

So, will the 3Gb get upgraded or will we be in this bizarre scenario of paying 199 for 3Gb on one contract and 149 on another?
 
Nope, it looks like 3GB will not be upgraded. Penalised for not taking a smaller bundle.

I upgraded to the S4 LTE on Smart S with 1gb extra data for first 6 months last month. Only thing is I can't for the life of me get anyone to activate the extra 1gb of data. I've been in store, spoken to VC accounts, VC upgrades, been back in store and still no sign of the data when I check balances.

Any ideas how to get this sorted?

I've seen before that it says MB instead of GB. Like I was sure I had 2GB remaining, yet it said 2MB. The next day they had fixed it.

However if it remains on the GB, then use it. If they suddenly bill you, then there should be a record of the data and you have a case.
