Hi guys

Would like took know if I add webmail and gmail to outlook, will I be able to view my messages from anywhere else.

Outlook web access

Well, thats a bit vague.

Are you using outlook in a corporate environment? Are you able to access it via outlook web access (check your work/outlook email in the browser) ?

Currently I need to go to the individual websites to access my email. I like it to be directed to Outlook at home on a PC.

So if it is setup that way, I would like to know will I be able to access my email from a friends house or a internet cafe?

Yes you can set it up on outlook at your home but if you want to access your name from somewhere else you'll have to go to the individual sites.

So the mail will be directed to Outlook and still be in my Inbox under the sites? I've heard it gets moved from the Webmail inbox to Outlook.

Webmail doesn't support archiving mail, so if you use Webmail and Outlook you will only see your mail in Outlook and not in your browser.

Gmail supports archiving, if you go to settings in gmail>forwarding pop>enable pop> archive all mail from now on.

You can click on all mail or archive in gmail and view your email although you've downloaded it with Outlook ;)

you can also opt to have the messages stay in your gmail inbox after it has been downloaded to outlook, if you don't want to have to go through all your archived mail ;)

Thanks for the replies. So Gmail will save it and not Webmail. That sux.

Won't it even be in the Archives or Trash?

If yoiu use Outlook and still want to access mail from elsewhere, you'll need to tell outlook not to delete the mail from the server upon downloading it.

For Gmail you can just set it on the Gmail side.

Both will save it, you need to tell Outlook to leave a copy of the message on the server.
