'Free' Fibre Router Model per ISP

Any idea how to update the firmware on the MWEB ZyXEL AMG1302-T11C ? The Firmware upgrade option is not in the menu as indicated in Zyxel's instructions.
Mine has V3.00(ABCG.10)R1 and I'd like to upgrade to the lastest V3.00(ABCG.13)C0 as per their site.

Not on mweb since my DSL days, but back then they loaded custom firmware you could not upgrade yourself. Maybe still the case with Mweb. That is why I recommend Ubiquity (nice GUI) or Mikrotik (everything and the kitchen sink.. but takes some getting used to.)

Tx. Will rather go with axxess then and get my own router.

If you are going to get your own router anyway, then you can go with Vox - or anyone else.
I have signed up with Vox, and I'll just use my own router.

Opticnetworks = Mikrotik hEX PoE Lite & Mikrotik cAP Lite (Managed or Unmanaged + on-site installation in certain areas)

Coming to Frogfoot and OpenServe before the end of the month *fingers crossed* :D

Wow. Is that still the case?

Has anyone here used OpticNetworks at all? How are they on Vumatel? Compared to CISP?

June 2020 and RSA-Web are still issuing TP-Link AC750 routers with their fiber deals.
It does what it says on the box.:cautious:
Really wish these free issue routers came with a Gig-POE port...

What does granny need a gig-poe for?

Luke Warm Ideas gave me a Archer C20.
Afrihost gave me a D-Link some or other. They both sucked...

cChucked them both and got myself an Archer AX50, and what an improvement

Granny?
Anyway... need to power up a POE VOIP phone...
Yes,you tend to give your standard run-of-the-mill freebies to your standard run-of-the-mill clients, aka mom, pop, granny and peter

If you specialist needs require specialist equipment that you bought already, you can probably buy the rest of the equipment required to run said specialist equipment

You're just a ray of sunshine today aren't you!?
I hear you though.
PS: I never purchased the handset. It was gifted so I'm trying to make it work without putting in too much extra cash...

Dealt with far too many clients who expect miracles from their freebies

Worst one most recently though,Why must I buy a new router for my business, why does my ADSL Router from 20 years ago not support WAN routing, firewalls and WPA2? - my shortened version of the query since it's way too much effort to list all the issues they currently have and why
Well ****,if you're pissing and turning pennies for less than a grand i'm probably not going to get paid for this am I?

If by some miracle you do make it work, and give a discount on your reduced cost already, and then you get infinite support calls afterwards because you installed it you broke it obviously

I hear you though.

Fair :)

Trying to locate a B&M shop I can walk in with the VOIP phone and test it before I purchase the injector.
