Free iBurst bandwidth after midnight

Well i downloaded more then 50 GBs stuff so far this month and im still going strong :D Is this gonna be a permanent service once trail is done?

I honestly believe that iburst users are more knowledgeable about iburst products than the helpdesk.

Sigh, Seacom was down most of yesterday and my speeds were so **** so i decided to leave the PC until 12 to see if it had resolved itself. And it had. I then checked my cap and i had 700 odd left. So i queued some downloads and now i have 100 left.

So im assuming they've killed the trial thing without notify customers or am i just another unlucky iBurster getting abused by this disgraceful company?

If you disconnected at 08h00, then it's iBurst's fault. They owe you 600MB.

PM r00iv@@r and I'm sure he will investigate and help you out.

well i have 300 odd mb left... luckily its end of the month tomorrow 6 boosters a month is more than enough for me :)

I have to say, after my initial concern that data was coming off my bundle, I've been happy with the process. No wrong allocation that I've noticed, and I'm still on my original booster. That said, PLEASE don't go and mess up MY account now please!! Or I'll revoke my Bubbles "fan" status! :-)

And I'm still throttled. Any info Ronald?

Edit: I would buy a booster to see if that helps but that would be a waste as tomorrow its the 1st :/

Edit 2: got over it and bought a booster and now have normal speeds. Now to see if my booster is still in tact tomorrow morning.

According to my calculations you should be able to do 80-90GB in a month

In theory you can do 170GB+ per account actually...

But this isn't theory, what did people manage to get?

Well I started late in the month so I didn't get that much, only about 10 Gig.

I have a question though, is anyone using Vuse and if so does it work for you over iBurst?

I find that it is not working for me but something like uTorrent works better and FDM is working best. I also find that connections from Vuse to the Vuse Wiki site and other Vuse.com pages are getting the connections forcefully terminated, is iBurst killing these connections? Anyone know?

I'm also considering that p2p traffic is being throttled too. When it first came out, I was getting 50KB/s+ on torrent, now it's at about 2KB/s. I find that if you do a fresh connect, the torrents go at about 20KB/s for about 5mins, then they just fall off to 2KB/s or stop.

But this might be because of the whole international connection issues we've been having, but we'll see.

Tomorrow, I'm queuing up the downloads for the month and going to see if I can break 60GB, but I need [non-torrent] files to download >.<

Uncapped internet and there's nothing to download [legally]. ModDB, here I come.

To get 170GB+ you need to be running over 1.6901Mb/s sustained based on 30 days , 8 hours per day ignoring link overheads which is a bit high for Iburst seen as the link is only 1Mb/s max.

There are much better ways than torrents to download.

2 Modems can easily make 1.7Mb/s. So again, 170GB (well, more than that actually) is possible "in theory"
