Albereth - it's not connected to the internet, it's basically a huge open free LAN, that can be used for anything that runs on TCP/IP for non-profit use.
it can be compared to radio amateurs, but using wifi.

Sounds like fun but I'll have to get a man to sort out the aerial - I'm not climbing on my roof - too high and too steep.
But I suppose that I could access the internet through my own ADSL connection, and could access that from anywhere where I have access within the wireless network. So, I assume, that if I was visiting a friend who has access, I could tunnel into my machine and break out through my own connection.

If people can put up DSTV Dish on their roof than you can put WIFI antenna on your roof. Fight the system.
PS: Don't attempt to align your WIFI while under the influence of alcohol.

Also a resident in a complex
Hi, Mr B, I am aslo in a complex and I used one of those small L bars used for a dish, works wonders and no prob with trustees. I applied and they gave the thumps up. Even my neighbour accoss from me got one now. U must see it to experience it, I can just say GREAT>>>GREAT>>>GREAT
