Mr.B, if you live close to a high site or a relay node you can connect with a rather small antenna. It looks like a slightly oversized lunch box, eg:

I also live in a complex, already have other aerials up, and numerous dishes, so they DARE complain!

the main excuses/reasons used by PTAWUG members:
* it's for work, have to link to office, servers running...etc, etc. It's your bread and butter.
* it's for independant security monitoring, cameras in house, just play the crime card.
* find something else in the complex that's worse/uglier than a antenna on your roof and complain about that

froot and mieliespoor, have you plotted your locations on www.wug.za.net to check how far you are from a highsite ? if you are close enough, you can connect for about R1000 in equipment.
