FREE Open-source Homeloan Calculation app (Beta)

Would recommend changing the term to simply total number of months which is what the banks will all provide you instead of Years + Months someone now has to manually go work out.

Probably make your calculations easier in the background too.

Not quite understanding the use case however, every bank already has this on their own websites but even ignoring that in the era of AI simply asking any of them what you want to know with the same data provided will give you are decent output.

Thank you for the suggestion!

For now AI isn't all that great in longer term calculations (although admittedly, neither am I so there may be mistakes) Also I suppose there are some people who are weary of submitting their info to these big corporations. The tool at least doesn't even require an account to use. For most finance savvy people it's probably not all that useful, but maybe someone will get some good use out of it.

I was going to go with the "There are already dozens of these calculators freely available" comment, but after reading your project overview on GitHub it's clearly meant as more than that. Must say it's not terribly clear that the point of this isn't to do a simple home loan calculation, but rather to show the effects of different payment strategies.

Hi folks, so I made a thing that might be useful to someone. Would love some feedback.

Setting my existing debit order day as the 1st of the month and changing the debit order to the 26th has no effect.

It should either have a negative effect if I make my debit order later or it should allow me to select the first of next month, having a positive effect of 4-5 days.
