Free SEACOM testing

I was at the media launch, couple of moons ago and the speeds were quite good. Once again it's the minority who are going to benefit from the show piece. I do urge seacom and their partners to do a national roadshow to malls.

The problem with most south african is that, many dont have computers to access the internet as a result broadband is still a dream

It is all fine and dandy going on road shows, promoting the whole broadband thing, but where can people buy this broadband speeds? A show-off like this serves no purpose to the public, as they might only see something change by the end of the year, or next year, and that might not even include speed increases, only more data allowances.

I agree with you.

For those who have tasted broadband will want to have priced reduced, as for those who have never even came into contact with it, they will be raped by first the terms and conditions and secondly by the high prices and snail speeds. We have two classes of people in this country, those who have had access to the internet and those who have the potential of having it but they don't.

You can tell me anything you like, until I see the power of seacom on my internet connection I do not believe anything. Demos will not convince me otherwise.

Anyone whose been overseas knows what true/real broadband is and this is merely taunting everyone to show what we can't/don't have and are unlikely to in the near future.
Sure, in 5-10 years time we _might_ have something resembling true broadband, but we might also have flying cars. No one is holding their breath.

So very true!

If we REALLY wanted to, we could ALL SUE these people who use the term "broadband" in SA for FALSE ADVERTISING! There is NOTHING of the sort yet...until we see Seacom coming through! Google the meaning of "BROADBAND" and see what the MINIMUM requirements are for use of of this term! Besides only a select few, none of us have it!

What do you think these pocket lining buggers of parliament will do if suddenly they are faced with 1000's of law suits against them and Hellkom for allowing this travesty of justice?

Flying cars have been developed already BTW !!
The Discovery Channel...small little 2 seaters with fold up wings.
Of course that will NEVER be allowed here lol!!

Will post more tomorrow on the BCS Group offering. What i can tell you now is that we offer it in IRUs, IPLC, and Managed Bandwidth service at wholesale prices. Talk to me. Sorry gotta run
