Free SMS service

From the terms:

There is no relevant function on the site! I want to be removed from their services. :(

P L E A S E N O T E
==================

This service is not legal on the Vodacom network when used to send SMS's (MTs) to any Vodacom number. Vodacom issued a dire warning to our industry (bulk sms) that they will not tolerate any company and to an extend individual who makes use of international gateways to send bulk sms to any of their numbers. Only international gateways may set the from number as not the actual originating source.

So guys, enjoy it until the honeymoon is over 'cause VC will so disrupt your service.

Misleading article

This article is misleading in a number of ways. The service is not free and it is not an sms based service. Yes one gets a notification but needs web or wap access to read the message/s. This service is similar to a number of services were already using. The experience was very bad. To the Staff Writer, we are not stupid, please dont waste our time with poorly researched articles like these. "I am about the deregister, mjoy is mysorrow"

1. There is no way to de-register;
2. Registration site is devoid of any assistance function that actually works - only link is useless.
3. The 'registration' that does not involve 'any software' is supposed to place a legend/link on your main board - not on a HTC Tytn 2, in fact you can find it but NOWHERE!
4. The 'non-software registration' somehow got into my HTC's settings to the extent that it automatically connects to the net, so if you manually disconnect, it keeps wanting to go back and connect. No matter what your settings are.

SO BEWARE - RUBBISH.

Distressed user

I am trying to delete the account but the function does not work. I am hoping that the staff writer will learn from his/her poorly written article that these things are causing problems to people like me who thought the article was written by a professional who would have double checked the information before posting it.

No better than MXit

From what I'm reading, this is no better than what MXit did back when they started in 2005. When you sent a message to a person that was not online, he got a missed call to tell him he has a message.

At least the MXit interface was usable...

This is NOT what I call a free SMS service, and a bad choice for a front page article.

When your cell phone goes off at 03H00 in the morning with spam SMS's for the 16th time this month ... and you ask ... where the heck did they get my number from? ... think.

LOL agreed

+1

Thanks :) I got activated on my phone.

Any chance you could post the login link that worked for you on your PC? I tried http://mjoy.com/m/login.htm but it just sends me back to the homepage.

Try using Opera...worked for me. IE also did not work for me...no idea why not...

hmm strange because Firefox and Safari both don't work for me

Opera works; Chrome, FF, IE does not. I think that link is a mobile link. For sites with mobile versions, Opera is the only browser that can open the mobile version. That can be a problem for some sites that you need to go to the normal site, but Opera does have the "mask-as" feature to solve that problem.
