Free SMS service

i have registered myself but i saw it mention widgets somewhere while i was registering. do they work on the phone?

I tested it and it seems to work. Lots of ad banners, but the SMSs get delivered, so I cant complain.

There's one thing I actually hate a lot... banners... except on MyBB... my firewall blocks them  ;)

i used mahalasms at work from the pc to one of the guys at work phone, and made out as if it was the girlfriend of another one of the workers that was into him and i kept it up for two weeks. boy did that work out ok.

I wouldn't actually mind if it was a separate application that was able to access the phone book. Apart from not having to remember the number off-hand, it would reduce the chances messages being sent to wrong numbers.

how do you sync your contact numbers in mjoy?

i tested an sms today and it cost me 11c from the time i went online till i switched off after sending the sms.

oh ok. if you need to send a sms it is still quicker to do it the normal way but if you are running low on funds then i reckon once you are online then this way of smsing is ok.

On Vodacom, if you have less than R1 then you won't be able to make a data connection. Not sure about the other networks.

1. There is no way to de-register;
2. Registration site is devoid of any assistance function that actually works - only link is useless.
3. The 'registration' that does not involve 'any software' is supposed to place a legend/link on your main board - not on a HTC Tytn 2, in fact you can find it but NOWHERE!
SO BEWARE - RUBBISH.

I sent them an e-mail and Pauly relplied:

Thank you for contacting mjoy.

The only way to cancel membership right now is to send a mail to
feedback. We haven't as yet implemented any de-registration
procedure/form as it probably would take quite a few days to make it
waterproof (e.g. authentication whether it is the rightful user
un-registering his/her own account etc.).

If you have any further questions I would be happy to help.

Kind regards

Pauly
