FREE SMS via Internet - Beta

Service Update:

We will soon be adding the ability to send to more than one person in your phonebook at a time. This facility will allow users to create and manage their own groups.

We will be adding more improvements as we go along :)

Mr. Beep,

I'm quite OK with providing the information requested, but I'm out of country now and therefore cannot pickup the activation code on my phone.
Is there any other way you can activate the account?

Update:

Within 5 mins of this post I received confirmation that my account is activated - Thanks.

sorry about this old thread revival but i wanted to find out if anyone is using this YESMS offer of 10 free sms's a day as its not working as it should as today i only have 6 left and i never used any today.

Mr Beep

Could you explain to use the business model. Is it based on ads in the future or is this your social responsibility service trying to lower communication cost to us South Africans :)

I get an error on signup:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Too many connections

/common/common_database_standard.asp, line 64

Hey Friends

I need your help to try out a new site that I have launched.

You can send 10 free sms messages to any cellphone network in South Africa, daily.

Site: http://www.yesms.co.za

I need your feedback, comments, suggestions etc.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kind Regards
MrBEEP

Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.yesms.co.za.

Is this service not working anymore?

The site says it's an ad-supported service. There's no ads on the site or on the sms sent. So I suppose the cell numbers of registered users are given to advertisers to support the site. If this is the case, is there any way to "unsubscribe" from the service if someone so wishes?

Nope, not with the new legislation.

EDIT: no to the advertisers contacting you, not the unsubscribing query.
