So i got a text from vodacom telling me "your mymeg 500 once off bundle service has been activated"

my response... but I did not ask for this.

I phoned them they tell me its free , I checked my web panel and its says "Free Std 500 MB Data"

Since when does Vodacom Give away free stuff? I don't see any promo's regarding this?

Not that i'm complaining but how what where?

Also received this message.

Thought it might just be an error or that somebody loaded a bundle to my number by mistake.

Yay!

I got some x2 data over December from Vodacom, but that was then. Nothing currently.

It was a complimentary bundle given.

Did you do an upgrade or migration to a new voice contract?

Sounds dangerous - like getting free concert tickets from and coming back and finding your house was robbed.

That is R45 of data but if you use 20MB (4%) over you get to pay them R20...a few minutes of overusage and they would be making a profit... be very very careful.

Cue jaws music.
