I think what CamiKaze was asking is why are only specific customers participating in the campaign. What makes them specific? How did Telkom Mobile identify these specific customers?

I received SMS's on two R49 Starter Packs. Never loaded airtime, just consuming pre-allocated 200MB per month data. When finished, I put it away and put another SIM. This is a targeted profile I assume.
But I don't need free SMS's, I want more data. :)

To Telkom Mobile: Please give me bigger 2c/MB data bundle similiar R49 Starter Pack, but let me decide how much I want at this rate (2c/MB), I will use it for calls and SMS's as well, is this you want from me?

Hi cfvh600

The system is used to generate the leads for selecting customers and as a result not all customers are selected.

I have 1 8ta sim I have for ages now changed it to sim sonke and I have a R49 prepaid internet staterpack since launch that I ported my number to and not 1 of the received a sms.... SIGH.

I have four R49 Starter's on default (8ta more) tariff and one older SIM on PSB Promo. Two Starter's received SMS, two other do not. I use all in identical way, so some random selection must be in place.

Same for me: I have two Telkom Mobile SIM cards in two phones, the SIM I don't use, was selected for the promotion but the SIM I do use, was not selected, which makes me sad.
 
I have 4 8ta mores and one PSB Promo. Some of them are 60+60, one of them is recharged often and a couple of them is just for incoming calls. I rotate them fairly randomly between a Nokia 1110, a couple of USB modems, a cheap Android phone and an LG Optimus One. I got free data bundles in December and this week I got free stuff (SMSs).

The free stuff always went to ... (drum roll) ... the SIM that was in the LG Optimus One at that time.
 
I have 250 Telkom mobile minutes free, expiring because everyone I helped get a tm sim forgets to charge that phone and carry it with them :mad:

It's called inconvenience. TM use to sale a phone that allows for 4 SIM cards... They discontinued this model.... Everyone I know wants to still get their hands on it
 
The dual sim phones need to be able to run whatsapp, not like the cheapies that pep and game sell.
 
Just got a message to say I have 5 free telkom mobile and land line minutes
 
Yip, five SMS's due to expire tonight, but already received 5 minutes for each SIM card. Interesting that Telkom landlines are included.
