Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shinning I can't avoid the lightning…

The very day they give us uncapped internet and I have nothing to download or even know what to watch on Netflix. I guess I have been so accustomed to having myself sorted out these peak hours that now the door has been open I do not know what to get inside.

Rain gives free unlimited data. Vodacom gives 1GB and their network falls over. What's wrong with this picture?

Is anyone else when the free data period starts. The tweet is ambiguous as to starting at 2pm on Saturday or Sunday.

I have an unused Rain sim I could break ojt but won't risk 50 per gb without knowing the specifics.

Started at 2pm yesterday. I have a Rain spare sim with no R250 addon and data set to R0 so it does not cost anything just as a backup. It is working since 2pm yesterday and the dashboard is not showing any usage and is saying I reached spend limit.

So they opened it to all simcards. You won't get any bill.

edit: ah i see: “In honour of the Springboks winning a third World Cup Final, all Rain’s mobile customers will have free unlimited Internet from 14:00 until midnight on Sunday,” Rain tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

Wow, Mr positivity you! MTN is the headline sponser, closer to the action you can’t get.

Maybe start your own telco seeing you have no joy with SA companies.
South African companies? , mtn and vodacom send millions of euros away to eurozone country shareholders. If I start my own network will you kindly port away to me? will you?

You're delusional. MTN is a South African company that "gets" money from other countries. The money they "send" away is to pay for equipment.

Also tried my spare SIM and no usage was recorded.

Sorry bro, MTN treat me well from 1995, never gave me a reason to move.

My point is, why so negative? You could’ve said “Thanks RAIN for the gesture, wish other companies did the same!”

You must be really fun to be with.

VannieKaap said this:

Celebrating your positives is not a denial of your problems. Whether it's a reprieve or temporary glimpse into what could be; the very fact that you are audacious enough to choose optimism, shows that you have the one human emotion that matters most during desperate times...Hope.

Daring to hope in what everyone knows is a fleeting moment, shows greater strength than those who reveal their weakness under the guise of realism. In a crisis, they're not the ones you want on your team. When you're needing the on switch, they put the 'af' back into afbriekerag.

Cause if they can be so negative during the good times, imagine how much poison they can spew when you're really going through kak.
