Rain has stated that all mobile users will receive free unlimited data to celebrate the Springboks winning the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

“In honour of the Springboks winning a third World Cup Final, all Rain’s mobile customers will have free unlimited Internet from 14:00 until midnight on Sunday,” Rain tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

I think it's a nice gesture considering no one else is doing something similar as far as i know. A quick check on twitter and the standard ISP's are only proud and crying and excited and going through the emotions but no freebies.

I don't follow? Peak is 6PM till 11PM, how is this a sign of "better peak packages"? Needless to say you might be fortunate enough to be on a tower that doesn't see a lot of usage, so you won't be impacted by other users.

Rain did announce they would be expanding their options ealier this year. Just hasn't happened yet as it was going to be after the 5G launch.
