7.88Mbps is by no means good
It's not bad. Your standards are too high. I can only dream of uncapped at that speed. People seem to forget that a few years ago we had 1Mbps for R799 when it came to fixed line and then expect wireless to give the world.

Very valid, especially at R250 (which I forgot about)

Sorry bro, MTN treat me well from 1995, never gave me a reason to move.

My point is, why so negative? You could’ve said “Thanks RAIN for the gesture, wish other companies did the same!”

You must be really fun to be with.

VannieKaap said this:

Celebrating your positives is not a denial of your problems. Whether it's a reprieve or temporary glimpse into what could be; the very fact that you are audacious enough to choose optimism, shows that you have the one human emotion that matters most during desperate times...Hope.

Daring to hope in what everyone knows is a fleeting moment, shows greater strength than those who reveal their weakness under the guise of realism. In a crisis, they're not the ones you want on your team. When you're needing the on switch, they put the 'af' back into afbriekerag.

Cause if they can be so negative during the good times, imagine how much poison they can spew when you're really going through kak.
not all negative bro, I had my beer and biltong and was celebrating on Saturday, but back to reality it's difficult to stay positive when, you have to admit, mtn and vodacom are milking us with their pricing structures, just want vodacom and mtn to offer affordable data and do more for the country which will benefit all who live in it

Well, it's not bad either and right now, I've done another @ speedtest.co.za : :)
ISP: rain
Ping: 40ms
Download: 14.68Mbps
Upload: 11.52Mbps
Test your speed: http://speedtest.co.za

I have to agree. Compared to what I get during unlimited off-peak times, my internet is flying at 10+ times the speed.
Ping: 24ms
Download: 14.63Mbps
Upload: 12.51Mbps

I agree, would be nice if in my case MTN can bring out a bundle deal for say < R1k a month, give you uncapped video streaming and 100gig any other data, and link 3 simcards to that.

Exactly what I need. Doubt it though

I have no need for video streaming. 100GB at R10/GB will be a waste for me. We're still at the age old problem of not having affordable base services. Give me 100GB at R200 with rollover and I'll be happy. Why nobody wants to offer this I don't know.

OH Yes! Having to watch streaming tv series at just over 20Mbps [DTS sound FTW!!] on some videos on a IPTV service was such a relief.

Edit: Still during peak-time
Multi connection/Single connection test.

Wholeheartedly agree.
My speeds were much better during peak than off-peak even though,t heroretically there could have been more customers using the towers.
Hope Rain is watching and going do something about this peak limitation on packages.

Telkom offers 100GB for R149. Seeing as you don't need video streaming.
