Free upgrade for DStv Compact customers

DStv has temporarily upgraded Compact subscribers to the Compact Plus bouquet, allowing these users to access a variety of channels which were previously unavailable to them.

The company confirmed the change in response to questions from subscribers on Twitter.

For some reason after downgrading to Family I got access to Kyknet. But it's the only extra channel that popped up. Is this also temporary or permanent?

So can I downgrade from Compact Plus to Compact, save R130 per month, and keep the same channels?
