:mad:I have used this FREE programme for about 2 years and like it a lot. I recommended it to a friend who alleges that it comes with all sorts of stuff that want to change your search bar etc.
Looking for a better system without all the bull**** attached. Anyone please?

You can avoid all that other stuff by selecting custom install and declining all those "offers". But if you want to try an alternative there is handbrake, it only converts to mp4 format but gives you a lot of customization and tweaks, and it is free without any of the bull****.

Handbrake? I do very little video converting these days, but Handbrake used to be awesome. Opensource, simple, fast.

Maybe your friend should watch the options he installs.
