Nah. They're the same stale old ones: university admin must capitulate to all student deemunds.

Thought this commentary by a UK native was apt:

And where are we now...? Now we have Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians,
Caribbeans, Syrians, the Oz, Italians, Americans, Canadians, Poles,
Portuguese, Saudis , Kuwaitis, Moroccans, Egyptians, Iranians,
Palestinians, Israeli Jews, Ethiopians, Somalis, Nigerians,
Rhodesians, Scots (to run the government)... and (whoa!) South
Africans...

It has been going on for two thousand years. It's an outrage...

And yet, and yet... All of these people (well most!) have contributed
to make England and the English a great and democratic nation. And
yet, I have never felt the slightest inclination to bomb Rome, to
shatter the Pyramids, to close a Pakistani restaurant, to nuke the
Ka'aba in Mecca, to blow up a bus in Jerusalem, to chop off the head
of a Nigerian etc. (And even if I have, I have controlled myself from
saying so.)

I have few words for Mr Zuma and his depraved ANC: Grow up, or piss
off. You stand in the way of civilisation."

XD UCT medicine kicks your ass to the curb after failing the same year twice... There's many many people on the waiting list, who are prepared to put in the time and effort required.

Not just medicine, that rule is supposed to apply to the whole university as far as I understand it.

Chumani should have been excluded already.

I would remove your post then. At the risk of sounding like House, you could be prosecuted for publishing personal information like that.

AFAIK, only course conveners and admin staff would be able to view his academic transcripts, so no dangers there. Not sure where the poster you're quoting got his figures from...

Lol. No its uct. As long as you have the student number. Which is easy to guess cos it's based on your name, you can see all the records. Just check public access on the uct site

Nope you can see his academic records. I've checked out his marks, failed a crap load of subjects and takes at most 3 subjects a semester.

You can also check peoples marks if you know their name and birth date.

Yeah, you don't need to worry about that. UCTs records are open to the public.

Thanks for the heads up... I stand corrected.

Attached is this disgraceful student's exemplary records from 2011...

Some telling facts here. He's failed "International Politics" in his first year, has taken him 3 years to actually get DP for "Theories, politics and action", and in fact struggles to get DP for many of his courses in 2014 (meaning that his submitted assignments were too crap to get a sub-minimum pass for the exam, or he didn't attend).

He was granted a concession in 2014 based on him failing 3/6 courses (DP refused is a fail) and is probably skating on the thinnest ice possible, academically. The biggest crime yet to be committed by UCT in this affair is to award this POS with a degree - let's hope he fluffs his exams and is academically excluded, as a fitting repayment for his years of laziness and persistently bad attitude.

I believe they are in the process of removing Public Access. A number of incidents of students abusing the system has made it rather controversial.
