Do you really think so? Price has literally given in to all the protesters' demands thus far (the amnesty being the most ridiculous of them all) and he seems to almost support the group. He is a weasel who seems to have no respect for UCT heritage or history.

Smuts has been fighting off attempts by UCT to remove seniors for years now. It's a fiercely loyal res with lots of notable and strong alumni. It wouldn't be a easy fight for UCT or RMF to conduct.

Exactly what UCT deserves for giving in the first time. Hopefully all the paying students who are actually wanting to study go somewhere else

Just middle class liberals everywhere, their belief that "tolerance" will calm the radicals is severely mis-placed...
 
At least their Facebook page is much quieter. They are trying really hard to remain relevant, and this is just another stab in that vein.

They have been attaching themselves to anything vaguely related to their cause in order to remain in the spotlight. Expect them to create problems even if there are none in order to stay in the news.

The biggest joke about this joke, Chumani, is that he has been a BA student in political science at UCT going back to 2010. He was the guy who controversially "threw the finger" to Zuma's cavalcade.

This is his 6th year of tuition, for a 3 year undergraduate degree? How was he not excluded?

With the average yearly tuition fee of about ~40K per annum at UCT, that works out to just over a quarter-million rand...

Oh you poor, poor, poor 30-something student... get your degree, get a job, get a life... or just phuk-off-and-die. No particular preference.

ah so - I see the down fall of UCT - soon it will be a decrepit run down vandalised building ear mark for demolition to make way for land claims and low cost housing schemes - after all who needs higher education in a 3rd world country? :whistle:
