Friendship

Good evening hope you all keeping warm friends I need advice as usually. The is this girl she claim we friends cool we are friends. I'm going to be honest she has never asked me for financial help. She get paid on the 15th and I get paid on 25th the was a time my monthly budget was bit messed up. I asked her to borrow me money R100 she came up with stories that she already have plans.

Second time I asked her to borrow me money she said she does not have cash on her. Today around 18:00 I went to our shopping center to buy pizza at debonairs when I got there they said the don't have boxes. Oh well I got into my car went home around 18:50 she whatsapp me we chatting cool no stress, she tell me she is at debonairs buying pizza they have boxes now. I said she must buy me pizza I will wait for her at the bus stop I got the money. I swear she told me she already left she can't go back I'm like seriously I will pay you I got the money. She refused she said she is driving she can't go back.

It's not the first time doing something like that. So I'm starting to wonder if indeed she is my friend. I have helped her in the past when she was sick and I helped her when she was going for job interview. I have never borrowed anything from her and never return it. Funny things she does borrow other people money but when it's me it's a different story.
Have you ever been called an attention seeker before?

Lol you think I'm attention seeker anywhere we talked that is how she is we agreed, I should not ask anything from her. But I would go extra mile for her shame she is my best friend after all. We ironed things out we going out to Pretoria. Bu

Lol I should make polony salad :-) what is a meaning of a friendship?. Maybe I'm asking to much

some people, much like myself, don't like lending people money, and I don't like borrowing from other people... so when people ask, especially friends, I make some excuse... being indebted to someone is really really *** once things go sideways.

I guess she is one of those people. But this time I was not borrowing money I said buy me pizza, I will give your money when you get here. That is how we blacks do things if your neighbor goes to town, if it's something not heavy you ask your neighbor to get you that thing. But I guess we different

did you ever consider that even though the truth your story sounds made up = a new store running out of pizza boxes?

Maybe business has been really good?

Ramodiana, maybe your girlfriend thought you'd make up some excuse and not pay her once she arrived with your pizza.

How is it racist? is he black?

If he is black, then yes the reference to chicken could be construed as racist. But the Drinkpop?

But of course you knew he was black. It's ironic how you plead ignorance the 1% of the time when you're not actually ignorant.

I don't borrow people money, not friends and especially not family, as in R500 till the end of the month, R1000 till I get pay again, nothing of that.
I don't see "have you got R5 for the parking I'm out of cash", "I left my wallet in the car will you get this beer/coffee" etc etc as borrowing money and even if they say they'll pay me back, I don't expect it back. Who's turn it is to pay for the drinks or meel or whatever is also not a issue between me and my friends, we tend to forget who paid the last time or who's turn it is. Sometimes we joke that we owe each other a beer or meal whatever, but we don't bother keeping count.
Yes there are those "not really friends" who you know will never offer to pay for something, who will always let others pay, but you quickly learn not to pay for them and let them pay for themselves off the bat.
